There has been a massive frenzy within the conveyancing industry with the majority of firms rushing to put together HIP's packages to market to the general public.

With an estimated 1.4 million homes being sold in this country every year and new government legislation requiring every home to have a HIP means there's a big market out there to be won.

Another reason for the frenzy is that HIP's packs are really simple to put together. It's just a matter of knowing where to send what forms. Which in business terms means low cost of production.

The government has not set any regulations at what the prices will be for a HIP's pack. They have however gave an estimate of what they think it will be which breaks down as follows:-

bullet£400 - Home condition Report
bullet£150 - Search fees
bullet£100 - Legal Fees (solicitors costs)
bullet£10 - Land Registry Fees
bullet£660 - Total

The legal fees are what the solicitors are going to charge for putting together the HIP. However with the right forms and guidance there's no reason why you can't save these fees and do it yourself.

We've put together a pack that includes all the necessary forms as well as guidance on how to complete these forms, where to send them and other relevant information on HIPs. These are sent in electronic format so you can type the forms up on the computer and print them off for a more professional look whilst saving on the legal fees.

A lot of time and effort has been put in to producing these packs and all the relevant government legislation has been researched to provide the most up to date information.

The pack consists of pdf documents which can be read by most Windows systems. If not you can do a google search for Adobe Reader and download the program for free.
