Bean Burgers


1 tin of kidney beans,
canned and drained,

1 onion, finely chopped,

1 clove garlic, finely chopped,

2 tablespoons grated carrot,

2 tablespoons porridge oats,

1 egg, beaten
 

Heat some olive oil in a non-stick pan and add the chopped onion and garlic. Cook until softened. Roughly mash the drained beans with a fork and then add the cooked onion and garlic. Then add the rest of the ingredients plus a beaten egg to bind it all together. Stir everything well. Form into 2 large (or 4 small) burgers and cook for 3 minutes each side in a non-stick pan . Takes less than 15 minutes and can be served on burger buns, pita bread etc
